Life by Chocolate

Chocolate, white, milk, dark, in all its forms forms life. Chocolate truffles, caramels, and other confections are at the core of enjoyment. This is life by chocolate because death by chocolate is the wrong attitude.

Brooklyn: The Land of Kings

Indeed, I spent the last 2 days going from shop to shop, coop to coop, health food store to health food store in Brooklyn. I was very well received. I even got to stop in at the Jacques Torres store in DUMBO (Directly Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), Jacques Torres DUMBO. Very chic now, DUMBO. We used to call DUMBO the waterfront. It was not at all chic back in the day. Now, very nice.

I love Brooklyn. It's so New York. It's more New York than Manhattan. Manhattan is just too Manhattan to be so New York, if you now what I mean. Don't get me wrong. I love Manhattan, too.

Anyway, I liked the chocolates at the DUMBO store much better than the Manhattan store. I liked the store better. The store is more old world and they have a big table where chocolates look like they are handmade rather than trying to look like the outside of the Pompidou Center on the inside, if you follow my drift. They had a larger selection too, though not nearly as large as my selection. The chocolates were good but I think mine are nicer.

I drove all over Brooklyn and met a bunch of great people. People who own and work in Health food stores and Coops all seem to be a cut nicer than most people.

Here's to Brooklyn and my brother John and his girlfriend Carla for letting me stay at their beautiful apartment.
